The Frías girls
from Miami FL, youngest to oldest: Cat, Amelia, and Elise are the daughters of two-time James Beard award-winning journalist and author Carlos Frías.
Carlos has written for The New York Times, the Atlanta Journal Constitutional, The Palm Beach Post, and as the food editor for The Miami Herald; has consulted for shows such as Netflix’s “Street Food USA” and Hulu’s “Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi”; was the radio host of [National Public Radio affiliate] WLRN’s “Sundial”; and is the author of the novel “Take Me With You” (Simon & Schuster). The eldest daughter Elise is now a college senior in the pre-medical program at the University of Florida; the middle child Amelia is in the pre-law program at the University of Florida; and the youngest Catalina is a college-bound, volleyball-playing high school senior in Miami, FL.
The HAURY clan
from Westwood, NJ, youngest to oldest: Ethan, Ella, and Caleb are the children of Joseph and Nanette Haury.
Their father Joe is currently an executive at Panasonic Corp. He is formerly a flight test engineer in the United States Air Force and a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. He holds an M.B.A. in Financial Analysis from Penn State University and was an adjunct professor at the New Jersey Institute of Technology’s School of Management.
Their mother Nanette holds a M.A. in Communication from Seton Hall University and was an adjunct professor at Montclair State University. She is now raising her family full-time.
Caleb is now a cross-country-running, college-bound high school senior. Ella and Ethan are in middle and elementary school respectively. They all play various sports and musical instruments.
